Laser Cut Model

Instead of having two different forms, one on the outside made of wood representing the hard concrete and the other, the cardboard form resembling water, I have intertwined the two so that there is a connection between them.  The red paper goes through the wood vertically to show that although the wood encapsulates the water, the water is not restricted and retained, it is still able to be free for movement.

At first I wanted to have the light resting on a side table but I have decided to suspend the light with elastics so that it oscillates vertically.  The ripples created in the water at the site is often also caused by the interference of oscillations so I wanted to portray this.
